Cornerstone is no longer opening

Hi,

I’m unable to open Cornerstone (it keeps spinning …). It has worked for more than 2 years with no problem. Any ideas? (I don’t see how I can send a private message with login info).

Thanks for writing to us.

You have updated the Cornerstone to the latest version i.e 4.2.3, but the X theme is still in older version i.e 6.1.6
Please update the X theme to the latest version i.e 7.2.3.
To update please go through this article https://theme.co/docs/how-to-update

Remember to clear all your server-side & browser’s cache after updating so that the update code is always in use.

OK. I can now use Cornerstone BUT
When I want to change a page from the website (using the WP bar at the top of the page, see attach) I am sent to WP instead of X for editing. How do I fix this?

Hey @yowga,

If you would use the “Edit Page” option to edit the page from the WP Bar. It would take you to the default WordPress Editour ie Gutenburg editour.

If you want to edit the page from Cornerstone builder and you want to access the edit link from the WP Bar then you need to hover on X and then click on the Edit Page Button.

Please have a look at the given screenshot below.

It seems that you have Updated the WordPress version to 5.5 as well. In case if “Edit Page” is no longer there. It means Cornerstone data are corrupted in that case you re-do the content in the builder again.
