My site is hosted on GoDaddy Managed Wordpress. I have been using X theme for years and have never had any issues. GoDaddy automatically renewed my SSL this morning and in doing so, it seems they modified my wp-config file which removed the memory limit increase. I don’t know if this has anything to do with the internal server errors I am now facing, but I can’t figure out what is going on. I have added the memory increase back in to 512M but still no luck.
The site was working today - I had orders (woocommerce) right up till I logged in tonight. The last order came through at about 8pm. By 8:30, the site was giving me internal server error.
First, I disabled all plugins by going into FTP and renaming the plugins folder. That brought the site back, but then the site was just showing all the cornerstone code. So, I installed cornerstone and immediately got the internal server error again.
I disabled the cornerstone plugin and then uploaded the PRO theme that I just purchased because of BF sales prices. =) But, sadly I got the internal server error trying to activate the theme. I then had to login to phpMyAdmin and change the specified theme in the template column in the options table. I switched to Twenty Seventeen theme and that brought the site back again. Then I put Cornerstone back in the plugins folder and went to the admin plugins page and attempted to activate Cornerstone but again I got the internal server error.
I am able to reinstall and activate other plugins, but not cornerstone. The site is running very slowly which is unusual as well.
I chatted with GoDaddy support, but they were no help…just said it is a problem with my plugins or themes and denied all responsibility even though everything worked fine till today.
I’ve been trying to figure this out for 4 hours now. Do you have any thoughts?
