Since downloading the X Theme, I have not been able to use the Cornerstone plugin. It appears to have been properly installed and activated, however clicking “Edit Page with Cornerstone” just takes me to the page itself. No “Cornerstone” interface appears to manipulate the objects on the page. I’ve wasted considerable time on this and can’t imagine I’m the only one. I’d sincerely appreciate assistance in resolving.
Hi, Michael!
You could make a try to reinstall X and Cornerstone from the beginning to be sure they are in sync.
- Go to your Apex Dashboard and click on the link “Download X 5.1.0” to get the latest version of the theme.
- Unzip under
wp-content/themes(will overwrite currentxfolder). - Unzip the cornerstone package from
wp-content/themes/x/framework/plugins/cornerstone.zipintowp-content/pluginsfolder. - Be sure the Cornerstone plugin is activated.
- Clear any caches you have on Wordpress.

Unfortunately, this did not solve my problem, and I lost some of my customized content by doing this. Here is the error I’m getting:
Are you able to take a look at this for me?
Those are just missing sourcemaps. They are requested by developer tools when possible, but won’t interfere with anything. Would you mind adding a secure note to your post with login credentials? It would help if we could login to take a closer look at what’s going on.
Secure note added with login credentials.
The issue was just resolved by setting Permalinks to Page Name.
Glad everything is working fine now
