Cornerstone + https, SSL

Hi.
I switched about 20 Sites from http to https.

To re-write still existing http links and to avoid mixed content - I always use this tool: https://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/

After re-writing … everything is fine. Google Chrome says: Site is save, no mixed content (green lock icon).

But after that I open a single page in Cornerstone and for example I update some text. I save the site. Now Cornerstone re-writes every image and every single link with “http” again. Now this single site hast mixed content again. Where comes the old information from?

Now I have to implement every image again in Cornerstone. Click on image, change image - choose it again from Media Library and save the site again. That’s so time intensive! I have to do it for every single site. Sometimes it takes up to 3 hours just for one website.

Do you have a solution for this?

Hey @imageforyou,

Please try searching for http:\/\/example.com and replace it with https:\/\/example.com. If that does not help, would you mind giving us access to one of your site’s WP admin and cPanel so we could check if the search and replace pushes through.
