Cornerstone hangs

Yesterday I bougt the x-theme and after installation I cannot edit pages with cornerstone. The circle turns around permanently. I tried it in a local installation and with an installation on the server. The result is always the same. I cannot use this product.

Thank you for writing in, please provide us login credentials on a “Secure Note” so we can take a closer look.

In the meantime, please do the following:

• Use the private/incognito mode of your browser where there are no browser extensions and caching involve.
• Ensure that you are fully up to date. WordPress, Theme, and Cornerstone (Version Compatibility)
• Clear all the site caches (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
• Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

I use a clean installation from wordpress, without any plugins (but cornerstone)
you can try

clean install of wordpress 5.8.1 (german)
install x-theme and child-theme
generate a new page (with header and footer), and try to edit this page with cornerstone

cornerstone version is 6.1.1 an update to 6.1.2 cannot be performed manually, I must wait for the automatic update.

Hi Josef,

It will be very difficult to understand the problem without investigating it from the WordPress admin dashboard. I would suggest you update the Cornerstone once again by following the below steps.

1. Delete the Cornerstone
2. After the X theme is updated, use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone. It will be at the latest version

If that does not help, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

I am another staff, I tried to access your site but we need the popup login details as well to access the site login page. I would suggest you please share the correct popup login details or disable the security plugin so that we can assess the site and debug your issue.

Hi Josef,

The popup credential is still not working, please update it with the correct one or you can reach out with your hosting provider to ask for the correct credentials. On the other hand, the reason why you didn’t see the popup sign in because you already signed in and your device remember it.
