Cornerstone global block editor background color

Very quick question… Is there anyway to change the color of the empty “background” work space while in the cornerstone builder, to something a little off white?

Im finding when working on global blocks specifically with any white text, i constantly need to add a temporary background which i end up removing and adding several times as i reiterate the global block.

Im willing to edit some files in my child theme to achieve this.

Hello Dennis,

Thanks for writing in!

Adding a temporary background color in the builder is not possible. You can change the UI theme though. To adjust the theme of your builder after updating, go to the Settings modal, click on Preferences, then go down to the UI Theme dropdown and select the Dark version. This dark version should give you a different contrast while creating in the builder.

Hope this helps. Please let us know how it goes.

I Appreciate the reply! While the UI theme does change sidebars and such, the main window stays the same pure white color (pretty sure this is just how html works regarding blank pages). Not a huge issue, like i said i can work around it just need to put up temporary backgrounds in the sections.

Would be a pretty nice feature for the future though! Could definitely help when creating global block elements.

Thanks anyway

Hello Dennis,

Thanks for updating the thread.

Sure, I am taking this as a feature request for our developers to take a look. This way it can be taken into consideration for future development. All of these items are discussed with our team internally and prioritized based on the amount of interest a particular feature might receive.

Thanks.
