Cornerstone Fatal Error 106

I just updated Cornerstone and it crashed my website. Later, I updated X Theme to the last version and reinstalled Cornerstone. But now, it is giving me this error when I try to activate Cornerstone:

Fatal error : Uncaught Error: Call to undefined method ReflectionType::getName() in /home/ascomerc/ Stack trace: #0 [internal function]: Themeco\Cornerstone\Plugin->Themeco\Cornerstone{closure}(Object(ReflectionParameter)) #1 /home/ascomerc/ array_map(Object(Closure), Array) #2 /home/ascomerc/ Themeco\Cornerstone\Plugin->create(’\Themeco\Corner…’) #3 /home/ascomerc/ Themeco\Cornerstone\Plugin->resolve(’\Themeco\Corner…’) #4 /home/ascomerc/ Themeco\Cornerstone\Plugin->setup_services(‘is_admin’) #5 /home/ascomerc/ Themeco\Cornerstone\Plugin->initialize(A in /home/ascomerc/ on line 106

I also tried to delete the Cornerstone folder under /wp-content/plugins/ folder. Same error.

Hello Alfredo,

Thanks for writing in! Could you please update to the latest versions?
Our latest versions are:

  • X theme 8.3.3
  • Cornerstone 5.3.3
  • WordPress 5.7
  • PHP 7.4

This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog:

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

It could also be caused by a plugin conflict, amongst other things. Please check out this troubleshooting article here and follow the instructions for the following sections (where appropriate):

Testing for Plugin Conflict
Theme Update
Child Theme
CSS/JS Customization
Increasing PHP Memory Limit
Disabling Cache
Disabling CDN
