I have installed X in WP. All fine there. It tells though that Cornerstone needs to be activated. I did purchase X on January 2017.
When I do enter the purchase code in WP to have Cornerstone validated it says “doesn’t appear to be a Cornerstone purchase code or Themeco License…”. I’m entering the correct information.
How do I fix it?

If you have X installed and activated on your site, you will have to validate your site using an X license.
But if you have another theme activated on the site and Cornerstone active, you will see this in the admin section:
If you will click on Cornerstone > Home you will see a validation screen that will ask for a standalone Cornerstone license. If you use an X license in there, it will not work.
So kindly double check first if you have X activated on your site then you should be able to validate your site using the X license.

Yes, that is correct. Since it is only Cornerstone that is installed on the site, it assumes that you are using a standalone Cornerstone version which will ask you for a Cornerstone license to validate and not an X license.
