Cornerstone Error - slow site loading in front- and backend

Hi,

i have a problem with my wordpress site since X 6.5 and also on the newest version (7.0.0). Loading the dashboard and also loading pages takes forever and sometimes they don’t load at all. I’ve received an email saying an error occurred and that there is a problem with cornerstone:

Uncaught Error: Class ‘Cornerstone_Control_Group’ not found

Already disabled every plugin except Cornerstone and reinstalled the whole x-theme. Maybe i’ve missed something?

Seems to be similar to whats discribed in this thread: https://theme.co/apex/forums/topic/fatal-error-45/

Hi there,

I’m sorry to hear you’re having this issue. That file should in fact be part of Cornerstone. Could you please try fully deleting Cornerstone and reinstalling it? This should allow all the files to go in the correct locations.

i have to extract cornerstone out of the x.zip file and manually install it then, right?

I’ve reinstalled cornerstone and on some pages it shows this now:

Notice: Undefined index: allinclude in /www/htdocs/url.com/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone/includes/classes/components/class-shortcode-finder.php on line 75

Notice: Undefined index: rev_slider in /www/htdocs/url.com/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone/includes/classes/components/class-shortcode-finder.php on line 213

Warning: count(): Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable in /www/htdocs/url.com/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone/includes/classes/components/class-shortcode-finder.php on line 213

Edit: Also, how do i post a private reply in here?

If X is updated, you can just delete Cornerstone. Then X will give you a prompt to install that latest version of Cornerstone. There isn’t a way to reply privately, but you can use the “Secure Note” button to add any confidential information.

I’m not sure what exactly would cause those warnings, but would be happy to take a closer look if you don’t mind. Would it be ok if you added WordPress admin and FTP credentials?

just updated my last reply and added the credentials

Thank you! I’ve updated your site to a development build of X and Cornerstone where this issue is fixed. You can safely update to version 7.0.1 and Cornerstone 3.0.1 when they are available on automatic updates.

Thank you! You’re a live saver!

Can you tell me what the issue was?

It was a bug in our code. It actually wasn’t harmful, just a PHP notice that would go away if you disabled WP_DEBUG. The bugfix will be part of the next update (I also added some info about it to the release notes).
