Cornerstone Error & Slider Revolution error - Field title should not be empty)

The Slider Revolution plugin error is not working with Theme X.
Here is where the error occurs:

“New Slider” > 1. Default Slider > 2. Slider Title & Shortcode

The error occurs on 2. Slider Title & Shortcode.
I enter a title, then press SAVE.
This error message comes up:

Field title should not be empty.

I have re-installed the plugin and it still does NOT work.

I have another license of Theme X I created for a client and it works well with an older version of Slider Revolution. I fear if I update it to the newest version, it will suffer the same error.

Can you please provide the previous version of Slider Revolution so I can install it and keep working on my website.

Please advise.

Hey There,

Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? Please provide following information:

Set it as Secure Note

  • Link to your site
  • WordPress Admin username / password
  • FTP credentials

All the best!

Below is my secured note:
Please confirm you received the info.

Can you please check:

  1. Slider Revolution (see above notes)
  2. Cornerstone plugin

Cornestone is only allowing me to use it in Skeleton mode. Why?
I thought possibly there are conflicts with other plugins, so I deactivated all of the other plugins and the error still continues with Cornerstone.

Below is the error message inside Cornerstone:
*
Uh oh!
An unidentifiable error is preventing the live preview from loading. Switching to Skeleton Mode.
*
Please share the solution because I have other websites with same issue.

Hey There,

Unfortunately, I am unable to login with the given credentials. Can you please check?

Regards

please try again now

@rahul Please try again - I confirmed and logged in with the credentials I provided you.

Hey @jlhstudios,

I was able to login this time .
I checked by activating default theme but no luck. Looks like there is some script conflict for both slider revolution and cornerstone. Can you please run a compatibility test for us? You can do it by deactivating all the other plugins and then activate them one by one to find out the conflicting plugin. It will help us further debug the issue.

Regards

@rahul I am reading…ok, i read.
I will do this, but can you check back with me very soon. I will post another reply indicating I have done as you requested. I am starting now…

Done. I tried what you said and it is NOT working.

All of the plugins have been deactivated and ONLY Cornerstone is activated and it is still giving the same error message.

Uh oh!

I have another site called…

…where it is doing exactly the same thing. This is a new site also. Installed at the same time as the college website.

I built another website for a client with the same Theme X using Cornerstone and it NEVER did this.

http://www.trinitykitchensandbaths.com

This kitchen site is using an older Theme X and Cornerstone. I have not updated them. I tested Cornerstone and it allows me to view it correctly. I installed the same Theme X x.zip file from the kitchen website but used my college Theme X license but the issue did not go away.

Strange!

Looks like server related issue not so sure.
Can you provide me server error log? Let me know which PHP and MySQL version is being used by the server. There are some JS error in Google chrome console.

Are your other website uses the same hosting server? Check if mod_rewrite is enabled on server.

Regards

Wow! This stuff is over my head.
I work for the college.
But the hosting is by them.
They did mention a Ubuntu login.
If you look closely there is a Ubuntu plugin called, Simple LDAP Login.
I don’t know why they are using this.
I know that the servers are Windows.

I can put an email to the District, they will respond to me.
Can you keep checking back with me, please.

YES, I am using BlueHost for my http://www.jaimeluishernandez.com/
It just let me use the Slider Revolution when I deactivated Cornerstone. Amazing!
So there is something in the Cornerstone plugin causing conflict. Even on BlueHost.

I have put in an email to the college web support services with your comments and questions.

I solved it. But unfortunately, I did it to myself.
I had added the code below to add functionality to the very top menu.

http://lwtc.collierschools.com/

script src=“https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.2.1/jquery.min.js”></script

I removed the < and > from beginning and end of script so it would display here.

The link to the javascript created the conflict for one plugin… Cornerstone. I updated the problem below on another post. Read further.

The link came from clean bootstrap code from W3Schools.com but it causes conflicts with some plugins.
Wow! I am glad it is solved partially. Sorry for the inconvenience it may have caused you.

Hey @jlhstudios,

Really glad that you have solved it

Cheers!

Hello @rahul ,

Actually no. :frowning:

The cornerstone part definitely is fixed  when I removed the JavaScript.

But now the slider revolution continues to malfunction the same way. Below is the error message it displays after I enter a “title” and then press “save”. Even though I entered a title, it thinks I did not.

Field title should not be empty.

I have searched this error online and found many people have had the same issue on Theme X.
Can you please log into my account and see if you can correct it. My my login credentials are posted above on a previous “secured note”.

All of the plugins have been turn off except for Cornerstone and Slider Revolution.
I tested it with Cornerstone plugin set to OFF but it still didn’t work.

If I click on the option… “Add Slider From Template” … it opens the … “Slider Template Library” but it also displays an error message. Below is the message:

No data could be retrieved from the servers. Please make sure that your website can connect to the ThemePunch servers.

Still having issues with Revolution Slider…

WOW! What about this solution below…?

If this error is showing up in your browser’s console, chances are your web page is loading more than one copy of jQuery. If this is the case, how do we prevent this or stop it from loading multiple copies of jQuery?

https://www.themepunch.com/faq/failure-loading-revolution-extention/

I am reading about this now. I have a funny feeling this is the issue.

It doesn’t provide a solution. Here is all it says at the end.

I’ve tested for conflicts and have identified the culprit. What should I do now?
Make sure everything is updated:

Is WordPress updated to the latest version? yes
Maybe your theme has an update available? no, its updated
Maybe your plugin(s) need to be updated? no updates available

This is important… possibly what is going on.

I work for a school district …and their web network person helped solve the Slider Revolution issues I wrote about on this post.

This is what he sent me and said it solved it.

I updated max input variables it should be working now.

As soon as I created a new slider and put the title it saved perfectly.
I no longer need tech support from you.
Thanks for all of your help.

Hi @jlhstudios,

Happy to hear that.

Feel free to ask us again.

Thanks.
