Cornerstone elements tab gives error message

Hi,

I have a licensed version of Cornerstone (without Theme X) installed on a website for a client. After the last update of the plugin it has problems. It opens fine, and lets me make sections too, but when I click on the elements tab, I get this error message:

‘Not Found
The requested URL /content/533/elements was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.’

It renders Cornerstone unuseable, which means I cannot make changes in the clients site any longer.

Please help!

Regards

Hi There @mateoserendipia

Thanks for writing in! Please head over to Settings -> Permalinks section and then select the option postname and save the changes to regenerate your .htaccess file.

Then try to load your Cornerstone editor and it should work.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for the answer, that solution did work. But does this mean Cornerstone now dictates what the wordpress permalinks settings should be? That seems odd. Or was this solution just to regenerate the .htaccess file, and can I set the permalinks settings back to whichever the clients wants?

Cheers

Hi There @mateoserendipia

The proposed solution was to re-generate the .htaccess file. You can select any other permalink setting on WordPress permalink section except plain and Cornerstone should function properly.

Hope that helps.

Ok, good to hear, thanks!

You are most welcome.
