Cornerstone Editor slow to specific page and page sections

I have one specific page that loads extremely slowly in the Cornerstone backend. The issue is isolated to the editor only. The front-end performs normally.

I have narrowed the cause down to the final two sections of this page.

When these sections are removed, the editor loads normal (2/3 sec)
When they are added (manually or via template), the editor hangs on the initial load.

Other pages in Cornerstone load without delay.
I recreated the page from scratch. The slowdown only reappears the moment those two specific sections area are introduced.

Can you please investigate why these sections are causing the builder to hang on this specific page? I would appreciate it if you could check for any rendering conflicts or script loops occurring within the UI.

I tried to access the site dashboard, but the given login URL is not working, and the default login URL is not working as well. Please share the correct login URL so we can check it on our end.

Hey @Marcus08,

Please try increasing your server performance. Right now, you have 128M of memory. Please contact your web host to increase all memory limits that to 512M or more.

Hi, We have increased the memory to 512 MB but still. Cornerstone takes up 24 seconds to load. the page

A certain JS script you have added in the header is causing an error:

This is why it takes Cornerstone to load a lot longer than expected. You may need to contact support for the 3rd party script for a resolution to the error presented above.

Hi Ruenel,

Please be aware that this is a production environment. Live site has no cookieyes-error. However Cornerstone loads the page very slow. Even on the LIVE site.

Anyway I deleted the cookieyes script on the dev environment but no difference.

Please investigate this with more attention.

Please check the two URLs in the secure note below.

Your page loads at 5.8s while the other is only at 1.9s. Be advised that the more Sections, Rows, Columns, page elements, custom CSS, even JS scripts, and other resources loaded on the page, will take time to load the page. I would recommend comparing your existing long and short pages and taking notice of the difference in their load time.

A page with fewer than 5 Sections and other resources would load faster than a page with 20 or more Sections.

Hi,

Just tested on dev and live environment.

Loading time Cornerstone:
Test page: More than 1 minute (18 sections)
Original page (20 sections): Cornerstone Page preview keeps loading.

FYI: I can save the page, edit sections but there’s no preview. It seems that only the page-preview freezes.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey @Marcus08,

I’d suggest cloning your site to another server. If it works, this tells us that there’s possibly a PHP setting causing the issue.
