Cornerstone editor issues

Using latest version of everything.
Shared host linux + cloudflare
Problem started after moving wordpress (index) from subfolder to root.
Cornerstone editor : 403 access denied.
Hosting company tried some adjustments to wp-admin permissions / investigate errors. No solution.
Their conclusion: try ask the Cornerstone developer instead.

So, after reinstalling wordpress, Cornerstone and deactivating all plugins AND putting wordpress BACK in the subfolder, resetting permalinks, I can get the Cornerstone editor to PARTIALLY LOAD. There are no previews however. (there is an unclosed HTML tag error instead)

Doing a simple wordpress page edit renders a blank page and a bunch of js errors?
