Cornerstone editing modal not displaying properly (Chrome and Safari)

I’m experiencing a major cornerstone bug in Chrome. (We’re using Chrome to work around some of the other cornerstone issues we’ve been experiencing when using Firefox).

We’re using the latest “stable release” of everything, by the way - from WP down to the PHP version on our server.

The bug is this:

Some cornerstone page editing functions, such as “Apply Preset” or “Colour Picker” result in a modal UI being displayed.

But in Safari it the X-Y coordinates of the modal put it mostly off-screen and therefore can’t always be used; and in Chrome not only is the UI’s X-Y offset but ALSO the modal’s UI graphic is skewed AND it is flipped in the X axis.

Worth noting, mouseover/click is detected in the “correct location”. However, with no UI at the correct location, this is often unusable.

FF seems to be ok regarding this bug, but we’re using Chrome to avoid other different FF/Cornerstone problems.

Is this UI bug a known issue? If not, how do we file a bug report?

Hi There,

Thanks for writing in! If you’re using any caching plugins, make sure to purge your server cache and also clear your browser cache as well. If you’re using a service like CloudFlare, make sure to disable Javascript and CSS autominification options under the Speed tab and clear CloudFlare cache as well and test this issue again.

Also please note that our developers are releasing updates as soon as we fix bugs related to this recent release. You can check those details from here (https://theme.co/changelog/) and make sure that you’re fully updated as well.

I am having the same issue specially with color picker, can’t keep going on working at the site :persevere: hope this can get solved very soon.

I have been using latest versions of X and PRO on daily basis and havent find any issues.

Looks like a strange issue, can you please try any plugin conflict by disabling third-party plugins?

If that doesn’t help please send us your site details so that we can have a look.
Please provide following information:
Set it as Secure Note

  • Link to your site
  • WordPress Admin username / password
  • FTP credentials

Try another browser. I use Chrome Version 65.0.3325.181 and I have same problem. I now use Safari

Hi there,

I checked on Mac’s Safari and Chrome, and on Windows chrome and firefox and I don’t see any issue at all. How about providing your site’s URL and login credentials as requested? Maybe it’s specific to your site, I’m not sure though.

My chrome version is Version 65.0.3325.181 (Official Build) (64-bit).

This is very weird, in Safari, Cornerstone just keeps loading, can’t access to the builder. I have the same Chrome version.

Sure, here you have my site credentials, I tried also deactivating all the plugins but the issue remains the same.

Hello there,

I can say that this isn’t a theme problem. Are you using Mac?

If yes, the glitches you see could be due to incompatibility issues on your software and OSX. Here’s a thread related to your issue:

I suggest you check your OSX and upgrade it.
