Cornerstone does not complete loading the page

When I open a page, the interface components display, but Cornerstone cannot complete loading the page.

Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked your website and found that you are still using the older version of the X theme i.e. 9.1.4 and the Cornerstone version i.e. 6.1.4. I would suggest you update the X and the Cornerstone by following the below steps.

  1. Delete the existing Cornerstone.
  2. Update the X theme to the latest version.
  3. After the X theme is updated, use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone. It will be in the latest version.

If that does not help, there might be some different reasons behind your issue. I would like to suggest troubleshooting the following common issue to help us to recognize the reason.

  1. Theme Related Issue
  2. Plugin Conflict
  3. Theme Update related issue
  4. Child Theme Related issue
  5. CSS/JS Customization
  6. Disabling Cache
  7. Disabling CDN

I have tried a lot of things. But so far I cannot get Cornerstone to complete loading.
I updated X-theme and Cornerstone.
I Turned off all plugins but Cornerstone.
I edited memory limit to 512k by editing a wp.config.php file.
I edited memory limit to 512k by editing a .htaccess .
I cannot use x-theme.
I sent in credentials in the initial post.
Thanks for any help you can provide in regaining access to my site.

Hello @johnboak,

Regretfully we cannot check your site at the moment because the given password is incorrect. Please double check and update it so we can log in. In the meantime, the LayerSlider is causing the issue. You may have inserted a broken slider script into the page. Temporarily deactivate the plugin and test your site again.

I deactivated Layer Slider and I still get the Cornerstone problem. Just to describe the behavior: when I click to edit in Cornerstone, the interface appears very briefly, with the column where details and parameters are displayed appearing on the right and a bar of other links along the top. The central big panel is gray, and then the whole window turns gray.

Hello @johnboak,

Thanks for the WP credentials. I was able to replicate the issue in your site. You will need to update your WordPress to the latest version first. Lastly, you can to to Tools > Site Health > Status and make sure to resolve any performance issues.

That worked. Funny, I thought I had done the WP update, but clearly I had not.
