Cornerstone deletes content

My site was created with cornerstone and now if I try to edit the Home page with Cornerstone I get an error stating that the content will be deleted due to it being altered outside of Cornerstone . If I proceed all the modules are not present when I load cornerstone . Despite upgardes to the theme and cornerstone this problem persists making it pretty much impossible for me to edit the site . In the wordpress source all the Cornerstone tags ( [cs_content]) appear to be present .

Hey Rick,

Thanks for writing in. Cornerstone does not do that by itself. The builder data is saved as post meta in the database. If a third party plugin or custom function deletes that data, Cornerstone will have no data to process so you can that issue. This is usually caused by database optimizers. The builder data is also stored as serialized data so another possibility is, if you’ve moved or restored your site and your method does not support serialized data, it will not include the builder data. If you have not backed up your site, regretfully, you will have to build your page again.

Cornerstone data in post meta , which seems to equate with what is on the page

The site was moved ( as an image from one server to another ) but the problem has occurred way before the move .

Bit odd that the source code for the page is clearly correct and Cornerstone can’t edit it .

Can you please share site credentials in a secure note? We can take a look at your setup. However, please note that as explained by Christian, there is a possibility of you might have to rebuilt the page layout again.
