Cornerstone continual spinning

When I try to edit a page the cornerstone circle just spins endlessly. When looking through things it says it’s looking for various .map files? but that don’t exist. Here are what my error logs look like:

Can you help me out?

Hi There,

Thanks for writing in! Try deleting your current version of Cornerstone plugin through your WordPress plugins section. Then head over to X -> Validation section and wait for few seconds to install a fresh version automatically,

Then make sure to purge your server cache, clear your browser cache and test this issue again.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Thanks for your quick response. I’m not sure what you mean by, “head over to X --> Validation”

Would that be here, or is that something I should see in the backend of my wordpress site?

Hello @zurixx,

Thanks for asking.

I am sorry for the confusion. Looking at the file path it seems that you are using Pro Theme. You probably need to reinstall Pro Theme and then see how it goes. To do that, first take backup of current pro theme. After that you can delete Pro from Appearance > Themes. Next, download Pro Theme from members area (I am also sharing the direct link in secure note) and install from Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload Theme.

Please let us know how it goes.

Thanks.

We ended up simply deleting the plugin and reinstalling it. It works now, but WP spits out a bunch of errors saying it’s not working. Reinstalling the theme at this point sounded a bit more complex/risky than I was ready for so I opted to just replace the plugin.

Thanks for your help.

Hi There,

Glad you were able to resolve it.

If you haven’t edited any of your theme files directly (without using a child theme), you can simply re-install your theme by deleting the current parent theme (/wp-content/themes/x). All the setting will be saved on the database, so it is safer to perform that task as mentioned above.

Thanks!

Well I don’t know why it worked that day but now it’s back to not working at all  I’ll have to try re-installing the theme, but I’m extremely frustrated with this whole situation. I don’t understand how this happened to begin with.

Hi @zurixx

I’m sorry you have gone through all these troubles, I know how it feels when it comes to a theme that’s not working as expected, looking at the errors reported in your first post, I can tell that some of the theme files aren’t loaded (either they aren’t exist on the server “deleted for some reason” or there is a permission issue preventing them from being loaded). If you are still getting the same errors, then please provide us with WordPress Dashboard login details along with FTP login credentials in a “Secure Note” so we can investigate this issue.

Thanks.

ok I’ll get that info to you. The logo has stopped continually spinning, but now I’m seeing this: (not the, “Select Area” I don’t know why that showed up)
Instead of all of my homepage stuff  if you could help me with this as well, I would appreciate it.

Hi There,

Upon checking this issue further, I see that you have installed an older version of Pro theme (v1.1.0). The latest Pro version is v2.0.4 which you can download it from your Themeco Dashboard.

Since there’s a version difference, I would suggest you to take a backup of your site before updating.

Thanks!
