Cornerstone content not being recognized

My client’s database went down pretty hard. Unfortunately, upon restore of their database, the Cornerstone content isn’t being recognized.

The content is obviously cornerstone:

But when I go to try to edit the content in Cornerstone, it says that it isn’t and that it will be overridden. It’s Cornerstone version 1.2.4 It’s an old version, but we haven’t upgraded to 2 yet.

Is there something I can do to fix this without recreating the page?

Thanks for asking.

First, I suggest you to take a complete backup of the website. You can take a look at following tutorial to take backup:

Next, open the page in Cornerstone and proceed with the error message you are getting. If the contents are getting displayed then all that needs to do done is save the page. However, if the content is not getting displayed and the page is blank, then Cornerstone serialized data is corrupted and unfortunately you will have to recreate the page.
