Cornerstone - Contact form 7

Hello,

Via theme X / Cornerstone I have inserted contact form 7.
This previously worked, however i’m not sure why but it has stopped working and shows this error message:

“Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact the administrator by another method.” - (Newsletter)
“Failed to send your message.” - (Enquiry/contact form)

I was sure it would be a plugin in conflict, but have tested all of the plugins and this doesn’t seem to be the issue.

I have used the exact form on another website and it works fine.

Hi There,

Have you added an API Key to your google maps element? it seems to be generating a javascript error on your console which could be the cause of the issue.

If yes, please provide your login credentials in a secure note.

Hi Joao,

I have added a secure note.

I checked and contact form 7 said it was not compatible with my version of wordpress, so i updated wordpress however the issue still remain for the contact form 7.

Upon testing, I see the following server error when trying to access your WordPress back-end.

http://www.oadbyplastics.co.uk/wp-admin/ [HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error 1410ms]
The character encoding of the HTML document was not declared. The document will render with garbled text in some browser configurations if the document contains characters from outside the US-ASCII range. The character encoding of the page must be declared in the document or in the transfer protocol.

Could you please try contacting your hosting provider and ask them to check your error logs.

Sorry I didn’t mean the contact form 7 issue is sorted but the server error to access wordpress.
My apologise, I wasn’t clear.

Please still look into the contact form 7 issue, its still not working.

Hi THere,

Upon checking your page you have not added your Google Map API key to your Google Map Element.

You need to generate the API Key and add it there to avoid conflicts which might be the cause.

Please do that and let us know if it fixes the issue.

Hi Joao,

Im sorry but i’m not sure how to add and API key - I don’t believe this will be the issue.
Reason being, my second website www.cladright.co.uk is a replica of the oadby website but the contact form works on the cladright website …?

Hi There,

Please follow this tutorial

Add the generated API key to the Map Element.

If that still does not help, please try re-creating the form.

Let us know how it goes!
