Hello,
I have come upon a problem while using cornerstone. I have done some changes to my website about a month ago. I have come back to redo some elements and found myself in situation where I am unable to edit any element. Every element i click on is being constantly loaded. The preview works fine, the frontend looks fine. The editing screen for elements just isn’t loading.
It constantly shows the loading indicator.
I’ll also add that i uninstalled and installed cornerstone, but it didn’t help.
Hi @AdamJankowski5,
Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked your website and found that you are still using the older version of X i.e. 8.3.3 and Cornerstone i.e. 5.3.3. I would suggest you update the X by following the below steps.
- Delete the Cornerstone
- Update the X theme to the latest version on automatic updates
- After the X theme is updated, use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone. It will be at the latest version
If that does not help, there might be some different reasons behind your issue. I would like to suggest troubleshooting the following common issue to help us to recognize the reason.
1.Theme Related Issue
2.Plugin Conflict
3.Theme Update related issue
4.Child Theme Related issue
5.CSS/JS Customization
6.Disabling Cache
7.Disabling CDN

Thanks! You were right. I did have outdated versions. However, after updating both X and Cornerstone i find myself with very similiar problem.
I still can’t edit any elements (nor rows, sections or columns). All i see is constant loading indicator in the edit section, this time it’s just bigger.

Okay, i have went through all the support topics. It does appear that it was interference with one of the plugins, namely “Wordfence Security” .
Can you propose any similiar plugins, that don’t interfere with cornerstone?
Hello @AdamJankowski5,
Regretfully we have not tested such plugins on our end so we can not recommend you any, I would suggest you search it on the WordPress plugin repository. Please note we don’t provide any third-party plugin support. It is out of the support scope.
Thanks for understanding
