Cornerstone Conflict with Ultimate Member Messenger Plugin

Greetings,

I have a conflict issue with Cornerstone and the Ultimate Member Messenger.
When the Cornerstone plugin is turned on, I can’t toggle between the different users in the messenger interface. When Cornerstone is off, it works fine. I wrote to Ultimate Member and this is what they said:

“UM works with default WP Themes and Premium themes that follow the WP coding standards. If a theme has a conflict with UM, it means the theme may have an issue with the coding standards. I suggest that you contact the Theme Developer and let them know about the conflict issue with UM that works with default WP themes.”

How can I resolve this issue?

Hey @Merchant17,

Thanks for writing in and sorry to hear of this conflict.

Cornerstone was built with WP coding standards also so the issue might be in your server. Please enable WP Debug and check the errors that are generated.

Then, please post the errors here so we could check if it’s coming from Cornerstone.

Please note though that we could not assist in third party conflicts. What we can do is to gather information that might lead us to where the error is coming from in case it’s related to a function in Cornerstone.

Thanks.

I ended up having to reinstall X-Theme, then manually install updates for Ultimate Member with Wordpress Support help. After that I cleared my browser cache and al of that together fixed the issue.

Glad it was sorted out. Based on your reply, the issue could have been a bug with your Ultimate Member plugin and/or incomplete installation of X.

I could have added that you try the basic troubleshooting procedure and that includes theme re-installation, updating everything and clearing browser cache. Sorry about that.

Thanks.
