Cornerstone - Can't Edit / Save Text In Existing Or New Text Elements, And Missing Elements

My website is on WordPress.com. Cornerstone does not seem to be behaving properly. I started testing a very simple scenario of editing an existing Post, changing text in a Text element. Changing text in an existing Text element does not change the color of the Save button to orange, and if I save it anyway, the changes are not saved. If I add a new Text element it saves that, but will not allow me to edit / save the contents. I can add new Posts, but the same Text element behavior happens. Also, I can see existing Envira Galleries on my Posts, but cannot add a new Envira Gallery to an existing Post or a new one. Its not just that you can’t add the gallery, but, you can’t even see the Classic Envira Gallery element on the list of elements to add…it is not there. I did not test other elements, etc, since these basic things don’t work. I am fully updated to the latest versions.

Hey Jeff,

Thanks for reaching out!

I was able to edit the text and update it without any issues. Please see my video in the secure note. With that said, you can try to follow the steps in my video.

Turning off all browser security settings and editing text from the editor window (and not directly in the element) seems to have fixed the problem. I’m also assuming the Classic Envira Gallery element is no longer the way this gallery is added, since it appears to work with putting the shortcode directly in a Text element.

Anyway, thanks for confirming its working and coming up with the suggested changes on my end!

Hey Jeff,

You’re most welcome!
