Cornerstone: Button element creates empty anchor

Hello friends,

I would like to request your help with a strange problem with Cornerstone. Although I have a license (several, in fact) for X, I am trying in this case to use Cornerstone outside of the context of X. My understanding is that this should be possible.

However, I have an issue with the “Button” element: it outputs an empty HTML anchor tag. Here’s an example of a completely new Wordpress install with nothing on it except the default theme:

If you inspect the page, you will see that, between the text and the image there are no less than six Cornerstone buttons… the problem is that they don’t show because their HTML is empty!

Interestingly, if I install and activate the X-Theme, all six buttons show up just fine. If I deactivate the theme, I end up with empty HTML. Would you please give me a hand in fixing this?

Hi Vayu,

Thank you for writing in and repeat business, I can confirm this bug on the button element on my dev site, I’ve submitted this to our issue tracker so the developers will be made aware of it.

However, please note that you can not use the X license for standalone Cornerstone, if you need to use Cornerstone with a different Theme, you need to purchase a Standalone Cornerstone license in order for it to be validated.

Thank you both for the kind replies and for the fix! I want to apologize for the license issue. Just so you know: I’m merely trying to debug for someone who does have the plugin license (rather than the theme license as I do), so this renegade website will never see the light of day :slight_smile: I appreciate that you pointed out to me the difference of licenses so kindly.
