Cornerstone and moving pages?

Hello -
I’m a little confused about how Cornerstone in integrated in my sites? I have 2 sites both with X Pro. The first has a plugin called Cornerstone installed, but it’s not activated. The 2nd one doesn’t have this installed.

1 - Isn’t Pro based on Cornerstone? I guess I’m not sure what value Cornerstone adds over the standard X Pro install.
2 - I have some pages that I need to move from one site to another. I read in this post that Cornerstone might be able to help. Is this true?

Oh, I see Cornerstone IS the UI for X/Pro themes. That’s what I thought. Not sure why one of my sites has it as a seprate plugin. I guess Then I’m looking to see if there is a way to use it’s features to move a page from one site to another? Is there an export/import feature?

Thanks for writing in!

1.) Cornerstone is our very own page builder. When you install X theme, Cornerstone will also be installed. Even if you are not using Cornerstone as a page builder, the plugin still needs to be active. When you are using Pro Theme, you do not need to install or activate Cornerstone plugin all because it is already integrated in Pro theme. It is the one powering the Pro Editor.

2.) Pages created with Cornerstone or Pro editor can be save as a template. You can then go to X/Pro > Templates, download the saved templates and then in your new site or other sites, you can import these template. Once you create a new page and edit it in Cornerstone or Pro editor, you can simply load the template. For more details, please see “Working with Templates” section in this knowledge base article:

Hi Rue - I was just reading about this. Yes, I tried to do the steps but my Template is not showing up in the Template manager. Any ideas? I have saved a template named “WKS Register” and it shows in the Load Template drop down, but not in the Template manager… where I can export it.

Ah, never mind. It was a Cache issue. I cleared that and it showed. Thanks
