Wordpress 5.7.1
X-Theme 8.3.3
Cornerstone 5.3.1
PHP 7.0.33
When I upgrade Cornerstone to 5.3.3, it won’t allow admin access to the Wordpress dashboard. If I downgrade to 5.3.1 it works fine.
I’ve seen people with the same issue and the recommendation to upgrade to PHP 7.4, so I have had our client’s webhost (Hostway) update the PHP. The problem, however, is that the furthest they can currently upgrade is to PHP 7.0.33 on their shared servers.
Am I at an impasse here between Cornerstone’s requirements and the webhosts limits? Or, is there something that can be done to make Cornerstone compatible with older versions of PHP? Is this something that the Cornerstone developers are working to fix, or am I’m going to have to ask the client to reevaluate their hosting situation?
