Hi, I just ran into an issue where a site I done was broken after updating it to the latest Cornerstone 5.1.3.
I did all the recommended things like deactivating all plugins, delete Cornerstone and reinstall however nothing helped. It was only when I deactivated my X Child theme that it worked again.
Has anyone experienced the same issue?
So I’ve done some more digging and saw it was related to some code in my Child theme that was making changes to how recent posts are displayed as per this instruction from Theme.co - https://theme.co/archive/forums/topic/add-excerpt-to-recent-posts-shortcode/#post-66964
If anyone can shed some light I would appreciate it.
Oh man… So I realise the mistake. So the issue was as the Theme Co poster warned in his post.
“Please note that switching from classic to visual composer may remove this attribute since this is not default option.”.
When I checked I saw indeed that the attribute was missing which must of been something the client did obviously without knowing.
Problem solved. Just weird that the issue coincided with a Cornerstone update as the client said he only did updates and didn’t make any changes to the actual page.
