Copy & Move the Home Page

Hi,
I like to move my current Home page to another page, and create a brand new Home page (using Slider Revolution). Could you kindly guide me on this in non-techie language?

I read Paul.R’s explanation in Nov 17:
“You can save it as a layout then load the layout on the other page.”

How to save as a “layout”? I like to save the whole page.

To complicate matters, my Home page was created in Cornerstone, but because I didn’t know I could not use WP dashboard to go back to a previous revision, that Home page can no longer be edited or loaded on Cornerstone.

Hi there,

No worries at all. You may save the page you created as a Template in Cornerstone.

Once you saved it in your Template Library, it will then be available for use. Create a blank Cornerstone page then beside the save template, you can click on Load Template and choose the page you saved and it should populate the new page.

Hi Jade,
I tried what you said. But I get the message that says: “Add some sections before saving a template.”

As I mentioned in my 1st post, the Home page got out of Cornerstone. I wished I had been told earlier about the danger of restoring to an earlier revision.

What about how do I go about re-naming this old Home page?

Hi There,

If you edited the page outside of Cornerstone, then the only way to edit it back in Cornerstone is to restore the site to the previous date (before you edit it outside cornerstone), or to rebuild the page again in Cornerstone.

Hi Thai, I wish I had the benefit of your advice much earlier - I should have restored it to the old version before it got out of Cornerstone. I was told I could not revert to Cornerstone ever. And so have done many amendments since.

How do I get a new page to become my Home page - where do I go to change the address?
