Copy front-end text (Company/Name)/(Email) on homepage to same text fields in Contact page

Hi there,

I have a ‘‘Start your new project’’ CTA in the footer on the Home page with 2 text fields *name & *email, was wondering how I could copy the filled-in text from the CTA to the Contact page text field on Contact Form 7, that way the visitor won’t have to fill in the same info twice when he fills the CTA on the homepage and clicks the button which prompts him to fill the same info on the Contact page in the Contact Form 7 fields.

Thanks for writing in! You will need to pass the parameters so that the Contact Form 7 form can pick it up. Please check out this documentation instead:

Be advised that what you are trying to do goes beyond the features of the CTA element. You may need to contact the creators of the Contact Form 7 plugin for more assistance.

Thanks for the info, I checked the page out, and the test when typing query string [http://example.com/contact/? your-name=John+Smith] works, however I don’t now how to connect the 2 fields on the homepage to the 2 field on the contact form.

So probably this is a dead end, thought it would be a lot simpler.
