Copy Components from another site

Hi there, how can I import components from another site? I want to create a main hub where I can store all my components and templates, but I can’t find a way to export/import them between sites.

Hello @mcostales84,

Thanks for writing in! You can insert the component in a template and then you can download and import the template to your other site. During the import, it will also include the component.

Hope this makes sense.

SImilar question: I can’t seem to find the template manager in order to export, and the directions from Docs says to go to WordPress Admin → Pro → Templates, but the template options aren’t there. Is there another place it would be located? Thank you!

@maryb43 yes, that changed and they haven’t updated the documentation. You can find and manage your library now at the end of the library panel

@ruenel the problem with that approach is, that what I’m exporting are my components, and they are wrapped using a _Private component, how @kory does, they that new template imported won’t find the id of the _Private component and it will throw an error and it won’t be imported.
That’s why I believe that copy/paste between installation is very needed, and you can use the clipboard api as everyone is doing lately https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Clipboard_API

When you export a page template that has components in it, it should export the components too. Do you have a .tco file or site I could see if you are having this issue?

We will definitely have a direct export button though too. It’s been brought up before and it will compliment everything nicely. Having the copy/paste function actually use the clipboard would be awesome too. Thanks for bringing this up!
