Convert X Pro back to X Theme

Hello - I have set up a development site with X Pro and it has proven to be too much of a learning curve for me at this time so I would like to convert it back to the X Theme. Could you help me with that?

Thanks for writing in! I can see that you have licenses for X theme and for Pro theme. If you want to use X theme in an existing site with Pro theme, simply do this steps:

  • Go to Pro > Validation > Theme Options Manager and download or export the XCS file to your local computer.
  • Login to your Apex account and download the X theme from your dashboard (https://theme.co/apex/dashboard)
  • Go to Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload and upload the x.zip
  • Once uploaded, activate the X theme.
  • Go back to X > Validation > Theme Options Manager and import the XCS file from your local computer.

If you have created a custom header and footer, it will not imported when you activate X theme. Custom headers and footers are exclusively available in Pro theme. All others settings and any page created with Pro editor should display and can be edited with Cornerstone.
