Convert Plus the Slide In isn't saving anything!

Hi, I’m using Convert Plus on a site I’m building and I’m trying to create a Slide In to have an opt in email function. I’ve used Convert Plus before to create a Slide In, so to some level I do know what I’m doing! However, this time round it’s not saving any alterations I’m doing to the text! I’m using one of the templates and have managed to change the background image and save it, but then that’s as far as it’s letting me save anything I’ve done. I’ve tried a few times altering the default text, but it just won’t save anything!

I hope you can help, as I haven’t got a clue what to do!

There could be a plugin or custom code that affects your Convert plus.

I recommend the following troubleshooting procedures before we investigate the settings.

  1. TESTING FOR THEME RELATED ISSUE
  2. TESTING FOR PLUGIN CONFLICT
  3. THEME UPDATE
  4. CHILD THEME
  5. CSS/JS CUSTOMIZATION
  6. VERSION COMPATIBILITY

Hi @marc_a,

I created a staging site and deactivated all plugins, apart from Convert Plus, and it’s still not saving any text I change. My theme and child theme are the latest versions. I’ve also removed the Custom Global CSS, so I don’t now what else I can do as it’s still not saving!

I’ll put the link and admin info to the staging site in a secure note, so you can see that the only plugin active is Convert Plus.

Hi @core365 and @ronald,

This is a bug for WordPress 5.6 and Convert Plus 3.5.15, this issue was already fixed with the latest version of Convert Plus 3.5.16. Unfortunately, the current version we have for Convert Plus is 3.5.15. Please wait for our updates for Convert Plus or you can downgrade to WordPress to 5.5 using this plugin. You can check for more info about the changelog for Convert Plus here.

Hi @marc_a,

Thanks for finding all that out! Do you know when you’ll have the update available for Convert Plus, as if it isn’t by the end of this week, then I’ll need to downgrade WordPress as my client won’t want to wait for much longer for their site to go live!

Hi @core365.

We don’t have an estimated time when we will release the Convert Plus 3.5.16 but you can always check in our version compatibility for the new updates. If you can’t wait for our new Convert Plus 3.5.16, just temporarily downgrade your WordPress version to 5.5.
