Convert Plus Button gone

Hey Support,

I have been using the Convert plus plugin for the past year without difficulty and has been great. After the most recent x update, I noticed that I’m unable to create a modal pop-up with a action button. The pop-up is there, my artwork is there, the text is there, but the actual button to click is gone. Any suggestions? It’s the modal popup called “podcast” Thanks!

Hey John,

Please tell us where the “podcast” button can be found or give the actual URL and a screenshot of the area. Then, please clear all caches and disable WP Rocket so we could see the test or changes we make immediately.

Thanks.

This is the standard modal with the “Download now” button, on my site it’s appearing like this in the editor and live:

I have turned off WP Rocket and cleared the cache, thanks for fixing!

Hi @jfbball7,

I can confirm the button issue on your site. What template do you base this off? I’ll try re-creating it, maybe your existing has corrupted data. The button should be displayed as design in the form designer.

Thanks!

Hey Rad,

The problem is not that single template, it’s every single modal that I’ve designed doesn’t have a button now, so something is off in the plugin after I updated it. Could you remove it and all of the stored data and we try starting fresh, I don’t mind losing what I’ve created. I tried deleting the plugin and re-installing, but all the stored modals re-appeared. Let me know what you think.

What I did base it off was:

Thanks!
John

Hello John,

Did you use the form designer or used a custom form? I have inspected your modal popup and it seems that it is using a custom form but it is empty.

If you delete a plugin, most of the popups will still be there because it is saved in the database. Those data will not be deleted as you delete the plugin. You can only remove those data when you manually delete the table data in the database.

Hope this helps.

No custom CSS, I am only using the plugin form designer to make them. That picture is of their stock template directly downloaded, when you open the editor it is removing the button.

Can you please fix it so I can make them through the plugin again? Thanks.

Hi,

I have tried this on my test sites but can’t seem to replicate the issue.
So it is something specific to your set-up that is causing the issue.

Have your tried testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

I can also see you have added some javascripts in Theme Options > JS , please note that you cannot add scripts with <script> tags in there as it will create a js error. Please remove it.

If you want to add it, you need to install this third party plugin and add it in Scripts in Header

Hope this helps

Hey Paul, I get what you’re saying. The issue is I have been using it this way for a year and the only thing I changed was updating convert plug-in.

Is there anything you guys can do? I hate to abandon the plug-in, but this is a major issue for me.

Hi,

I checked again and can see you have selected a Custom Form but did not have any code entered. that is why the form is not showing in your modal.

To fix this, you can either create a campaign under Convertplus > Coneect or add a custom form code.

Thanks

Hey Paul,

Thanks so much for figuring this out! I’m not sure how my connect got deleted, but once I re-installed it worked perfectly! Thanks!

You’re welcome!
