Content sections will not load in Cornerstone when editing

My Content will not load in the preview section in Cornerstone. The sections are visible on the lefthand side but not the right "preview side. It has done this a few times in the last week. One time it will do it and the next day it won’t. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in!

Are you using CloudFlare or may have installed a caching plugin like WordFence, W3 Total Cache or WP Super Cache? Please keep in mind that after doing every updates, always remember to clear all caches when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

This could be caused by a 3rd party plugin. You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

If the issue still exist, please re install X theme and Cornerstone. There might be some files that were corrupted. You can review our update guide and see the Manual Update section to re install X.

If nothing works, would you mind providing us the url of your site with login credentials so we can take a closer look?
To do this, you can create a secure note with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password

Thank you.

Thank you for your reply. I deactivated all the plugins and re-activated them one at a time and it turned out to be my jetpack plugin causing it. Do you have any idea why it does that or how I could fix it. I really wanted to use that plugin so any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Hi there,

We are not sure which section of that 3rd party plugin is the conflict cause, as this is a 3rd party plugin you will need to contact the developer of the plugin.

But I suggest that you check the settings of the Jetpack and disable the minify and cache settings of the plugin. Cornerstone assets are all minified by default and if Jetpack tries to minify the already minified assets such as Javascript and CSS files it may have unknown rendering effects.

Thank you.
