Content Next to Logo in Header

Hi All,

I followed this _brand.php customization in child theme: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/text-under-logo-disappeared-after-updating-x-theme-how-do-you-get-it-back/17156

about a year or two ago … to put some text in the header next to the logo…

but now i recently just updated the theme for the website and not only did i loose a ton of css, but now the custom _brand.php code isn’t showing in the header.

I cannot find any solution to this…does the theme still look for this file?
My customized file is saved under the child theme so I know it wasn’t deleted with the update.

Please help clients website is live!

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in.

The new location of _brand.php is under \x\framework\legacy\cranium\headers\views\global. You may now place your custom _brand.php to your child theme of same folder structure.

Thanks!

Hi there,

I uploaded the _brand.php file to this directory: x-child / framework / legacy / cranium / headers / views / global / _brand.php

and it doesn’t show any of my edits in _brand.php

Any ideas? This is important as it where the clients hours of operation reside.

Thanks

Hello There,

You may have added all your changes in the child theme and in the correct folder. You still need to activate the child theme first before the changes will take. But wait, please do these steps before activating the child theme.
1.) Go to X > Overview > Customizer Manager.
2.) Export the XCS file and download it to your local machine.
3.) Activate the Child theme
4.) Go back to X > Overview > Customizer Manager
5.) Import the XCS file to make sure that you still have the same X settings including menus and widgets.
