the content doc wont close even after clicking the “X”

Seems the width has not specified to the Content Dock settings.
Please go to the Content Dock > Settings > Width and set the width between any valid value 250 to 450 as specified.

Please check whether any custom codes are blocking the default functionalities. If so please remove and try it again.

If none of the above helps, please provide the details of your site in a secure note, including:
