Content container blocking background full width video

I injected this on a support post of other things and decided to just open a new post on the issue instead f mingling them.
I hope that is ok to do.

I have a code problem with getting the content container box to a partial transparency/overlay or opacity to see the video through it yet tinted enough to see the text.

I have tried various css combinations on the pages css additions to no positive results.
example: .entry-wrap { background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.8); }
.x-container.main:before { background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.8); }

I am not a programmer by any means and googling the issue has taken a lot of time/trial & error.
So here I am again seeking those that know the X theme’s framework and set-up to guide me how to accomplish my goal.

I uploaded a screen capture to show the black content container that needs to be semi tinted and transparent to reveal the video behind it and the text on top.

I hope you can guide me on this solution.

You can also try adding following CSS under X > Theme Options > CSS:

.entry-wrap {
    opacity: .5;
}

Please make sure to clear browser cache and then load the website again.
