Content Area Off-canvas keeps reloading while writing

I think the old bug I have reported a while ago is back.

Content Area Off canvas reloads on each new letter typed into the content box.

Hi Misho,

Thanks for writing in! I have tested this issue on the latest version. Did you mean that your Cornerstone content builder is reloading when typing or just the Off Canvas element preview is reloading.

On my end, it’s just the Content Area Off Canvas element is reloading, if it is opened in the preview. So basically there’s no impact for the content editing. If you close the off canvas preview and then typing, there’s no impact as well.

If your content builder is reloading, could you please try disabling your 3rd party plugins, switch to your parent theme if you’re using a child theme and also remove any custom JavaScript codes that you have, disable your caching plugin if you have any caching plugin activated and test this issue again.

Hi, yes, only the Off canvas area is reloading on each letter. So that is normal? It shouldn’t be.

If that is a technical requirement, then ok, I understand. But it is not ideal UX. Text should be updating without reloading the Off-canvas area on each new typing.

Anyway, it doesn’t affect functionality, only UX, so I can live with it.

Thanks for updating the thread.

Yes, you are right. I tested on my dev setup and Content Area Off Canvas does reload in preview panel when you edit the content. It’s not normal and ideally it should not reload. I have raised a ticket in our internal issue tracker for our developers to take a look.
