Content Area Modal Not Working in Custom Theme using Cornerstone

Hi there, experiencing several bugs when using recent versions of Cornerstone with a custom theme. The content area modal elements doesn’t work, and it seems to be some sort of javascript conflict, although there’s no error in console.

Also, I think I’ve seen this mentioned in the forums already…but just in case, the section margin and padding doesn’t work…solution to command click on “add section” to add a classic section works, but not ideal long term, especially for clients using the builder.

Any ideas on the content area modal element in a custom theme issue? Private link below. Left a small burger icon on this page to show you example.

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! This could be caused by a 3rd party plugin. You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

If the issue still exist, please re install Cornerstone. There might be some files that were corrupted. You can review our update guide and see the Manual Update section to re install the plugin.

If nothing is working, please give us access to your site so we can investigate further.

Deactivated all plugins and removed custom js functions…still content modal area not working. Re-installed Cornerstone also. I’ll add login in a private note

Yes, this kind of weird. Could you try installing your X theme? Your cornerstone is a bundled plugin for the theme.

Using X theme got the content area modal working. Does this mean that it doesn’t work in any custom theme? Do you have a demo of all Cornerstone elements working in a custom theme? Seems there are a lot of issues using Cornerstone on a custom theme since the last couple of updates were released.

Thanks for updating in! I can confirmed that Cornerstone’s Content Area Modal. This must be a bug in the latest release. I’ve submitted this to our issue tracker so the developers will be made aware of it.
