Continuing the discussion from Bug: double-tap Navigation Collapsed for Safari on iOS:

Issue: menu links only navigate on second click within collapsed section
Location: Navigation Collapsed element’s ‘collapsed’ section
Context: Safari or Chrome (latest) on iOS

Clicking any item within the collapsed menu requires two taps: the first tap does not affect anything, the second tap functions as expected.

Are you using Navigation Collapse element? Please edit your header and change the sub menu trigger from Anchor to Sub Indicator.

Unfortunately switching submenu triggers did not help. I’ve been made aware of the following iOS bug, which might be related: https://css-tricks.com/annoying-mobile-double-tap-link-issue/

So far we haven’t found a viable workaround for this bug that doesn’t involve using JavaScript to hijack the entire element’s behavior, which is obviously not desirable right now.

Affected sites in secure note. Once again, please note: This bug can only be reproduced on iOS devices and does not show when emulating mobile screen widths on desktop browsers.

Hey Meng,

I tested in iPhone 6s and I couldn’t replicate the issue. I just tap once and the submenu shows up. What OS and Safari version did you use?

Thanks for checking! I tested it on an iPhone X with the latest iOS updates on Safari, and on an iPhone 7 with Safari. As far as I understood it was a persistent generic iOS issue…

Hi Meng,

I do understand that this is a common issue on iOS devices, but from what I know our theme does not have that issue.
I checked the first website link that you provided with my iPhone XR and it is working ok.

As soon as I touch the hamburger it opens the menu section. I touched on Contact, Cases, and Partners links and they redirected with one touch to the proper link. The Actueel and the menu item next to it and the Diesten menu items are parent items.

If you touch them you will see that the menu opens up and shows the sub-menu items for that menu item.
