Contact form7 with recapcha 3 breaking multiple things

Hi There,

I recently setup recapcha 3 with contact form 7 on my site and the result was bad.

Two issues arose:

  1. The form stops working. Meaning when a visitor to the site fills in the form and hits send they always get this error:

“There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.”

Removing the recapcha keys fixes the issue.

  1. My intercom chat plugin also stops functioning correctly. Again this is resolved by removing the keys from the contact form 7 plugin

I came across this article and wonder if it might apply to this theme and how footers are setup?

If you can please look into this as not having recapcha is not ideal and can lead to tongs of spam.

Thanks

Hi David,

Thanks for writing in! There was a similar thread earlier and it’s actual cause was related to caching setup. So if you have a caching plugin enabled, purge your server cache, then disable any JavaScript and CSS minifications and re-test your issue further. You can refer to that thread from there (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/contact-form-7-not-submitting-recaptcha-3-issue/53371/5).

With regard to your other concern about WP Footer, please refer to the following detailed response (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/contact-form-7-not-working-on-x-sites/53468/7?u=mldarshana).

If you’re still having issues, I suggest you to contact the Contact Form 7 support to escalate your issue further.

Thanks!
