Contact Form of X

Hi,

I do have a contact form on my site:

And I use the following shortcode:

[contact-form][contact-field label=‘Name’ type=‘name’ required=‘1’/][contact-field label=‘E-Mail’ type=‘email’ required=‘1’/][contact-field label=‘Kommentar’ type=‘textarea’ required=‘1’/]

I checked my Extensions and I only have Uber Menu activated, no external contact plugin like “Contact Form 7”.

So my question is: how does my contact form work? Is it a part of X?
I can´t find any description or tutorial for that?

The contact form is working, but I like to change it that it don´t save the IP of users in my database. How can I do that?

Hi There,

That’s contact form is not a part of X theme.

You should install and activate the Contact Form 7 plugin or GravityForm.

Hi,

as I wrote, I don´t have a Plugin like “Contact Form 7” active on my blog. Not in X Extensions and also not in my Plugins.
So how can it be that the shortcode [contact-form] is working when it´s not a part of X?

Where can I normally find the template responsible for sending a contact email?

Hi Michael,

The contact form shortcode that you have mentioned is not part of X.

I have tried it in my local installation and it only displays as a shortcode.

There must be something added on your site that is responsible for the shortcode because X currently do not have a built-in contact form.

As I have checked, you seem to have Jetpack installed on your site so you are perhaps using Jetpack’s contact form as it is the same as the shortcode you are using:
