Contact Form For "X - The Theme"

Hey,

I’ve just purchased ‘X - The Theme’ which is great as it seems to have everything one could need in a theme, however i’m drawing a blank on what to do for a contact form as there doesnt seem to be an app or anything i can use in there.

I read a few other threads that suggested Contact Form 7 which i managed to setup however there’s a few problems.

1 - It looks hideous, the boxes that people fill in their name, email, etc stretches across the entire screen and i cant see to find a way to fix this.

2 - More importantly ive submitted a few test messages and none of these have arrived in my inbox even after i set it up to send any messages there.

Is there any other way to go about doing this besides Contact Form 7 that might solve my problems?

Web design isnt my strong area so im just after the simplest way to do this (whether that be through using a different plugin or whatever)

  1. Please share us your URL so we could check your setup.
  2. To test youe email, please share us your admin credentials so we could check why it is not working well. Do not forget to set it in secure note.

You can use 3rd party plugins like Ninja Forms, Formidable Form, Gravity Forms etc. They should work with no issues. At the moment, the support plugin in Cornerstone is only Contact Form 7 and Gravity Form where once you have created the forms, you can easily insert it in Cornerstone because it has its own form element. With other forms, you can make use of the provided form shortcodes and insert it in the text element in Cornerstone.

Hi There,

I have added the following media query into your Customizer, Custom > CSS area. Try adjusting it according to your preference.

@media (min-width:980px){
  .wpcf7-form {
    margin: 0 auto;
    max-width: 60%;
  }
}

Hey Mldarshana,

Thanks for that, it looks pretty good on both mobile and desktop now so ill leave it as you did it.

One last thing - do you know how i can change the text size and colour of the contact form labels? Eg Your Name, Your Message, etc?

Try adding the following CSS rule into your Customizer, Custom > CSS area and then adjust it accordingly.

.wpcf7-form label {
    font-size: 120%;
}
