Contact Form 7 Not Submitting (reCaptcha 3 issue?)

Hi,

I have two contact forms on a brand new website which are failing to submit any messages. Google reCaptcha v3 is being used and the keys are confirmed as being correct. I also see the v3 logo hovering at the bottom right of my screen.

In addition, I have activated the Pro theme to check that it was not something caused by the Pro Child Theme.

I have this exact same problem on every website I own or manage using Pro (20+ websites)!

Login details are coming via Secure Note.

Thanks,
Christopher

Hello @cdnwhite,

Thanks for asking.

Can you please confirm the login details again as above credentials seems incorrect?

Thanks.

Try the attached secure note again please. I have regenerated a password.

Hi Christopher,

Upon testing your issue further, I see the following response on the console log.

message: There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.
status: spam

You can see similar issue here (https://wordpress.org/support/topic/cf7-recaptcha-v3-there-was-an-error-trying-to-send-your-message/) and also I would suggest you to contact the plugin developer or use their forum to resolve this issue further.

Thanks!

Thanks @mldarshana,

I have contacted the plugin developer, but in the meanwhile have eventually found the issue.

I found the problem shortly before your response – after hours of searching!

For anyone else in the same situation, check your caching plugin. My issue was caused by two settings needed to be turned OFF in LiteSpeed Cache:

  • Load Javascript deferred

  • Javascript combine

I hope this helps others. It took quite a bit of finding and double-checking.

Hi,

Thanks for sharing that. Have a great day!
