Can you consume data from a multi site install? For example if I wanted to pull in a news feed from a multi site install that the news and updates was on news.mydomain.com and my main website was on mydomain.com. Is that possible?

It is not quite clear about how you want to pull the data from the multisite i.e news.mydomain.com and where you want to show the data. By default, you can fetch the data from multisite as you can from a normal installation.

Sorry about the confusion. Let me see if I can clarify. We have the main website that we would like to show recent posts on our news feed on but we currently have the blog on a sub domain. I would like to pull content from the blog on the sub domain onto the main homepage using the consumers and providers features. Does that make sense?

Regretfully the Looper Provider and Looper Consumers can only be used within the WP site. It cannot consume over another site in your network. What you have in mind is not possible.
