Connects add on of ConvertPlug displays white page after first setup

Hi there!

I installed and activated ConvertPlug in. I designed the first pop up. I read I needed the MailChimp add on to be installed. I installed it and activated it. I then went to Connects on ConvertPlug, I adjusted everything, included API key for Mailchimp and so on. But then, when going back and clicking on Connects I get a blank page.

I have already tried deactivating and uninstalling the addon, and even ConvertPlug in itself. But cannot make it work.

I currently have the pop up paused as I wouldn’t like to have any e-mails lost while I solve this.

It looks like an internal server error, it’s best if we could check it through debug logs. Would you mind providing your admin and FTP login credentials?

Thank you for writing in. Yes, we have received the information. Unfortunately, we could not access the FTP with the information given. Would you please also give us the PORT which we should use?

The reason we asked for the FTP connection is to enable the wp_debug functionality to see the error instead of the blank page. It will be great if you can do that for us following the steps below:

Just add the code mentioned above to wp-config.php file at the end.

Also kindly do another test for us with MailerLight system and Connect it to ConvertPlus to see if you get the problem only on MailChimp or other systems cause the same problem either.

Hello there. The port is 21, the one set by default.

Unfortunately I am very unfamiliarized with modifying php files and, the only time I tried, I made a mistake and I got the deadly blank page in Wordpress. I don´t feel confident enough to do what you are asking me to.

Also, I wouldn’t like to try MailerLight as I would need to open an account, and save another password, and so on.

Maybe we could sort this out if you could suggest any other plug in that performs the same functions of ConvertPlus. What I want to do is to have, at the front end, a pop-up appearing in certain pages where visitors can leave their e-mail and link it to my MailChimp account, as I already have my contacts and auto-responders automized and programmed there.

Hi there,

We’re not familiar with other plugins so we couldn’t recommend any. But, the reason it’s displaying a blank page is due to internal server error. If I could only login into your FTP then I could gather information about the error then we can proceed to next step. Instead of FTP credentials, how about your hosting’s panel login credentials? Maybe we could use something like a file manager.

Hi there,

I did try many times to be able to access your website using FTP but every time I get 503 error which means the login info is incorrect.

Are you sure there is no IP restriction system on your hosting service?
