Conflict with Cost Calculator plugin

I am using Themeco pro and am seeing issues with the Bold Themes Cost Calculator plugin (http://documentation.bold-themes.com/cost-calculator/). Th calculator contains conditional logic that updates values and hides/shows elements based on selections – this behavior stops working on mobile devices (iPhone 12 with both Chrome and Safari). The calculator appears, but the dynamic behavior does not work on mobile (all elements are displayed by default, the subtotals on the form do not populate, and values do not update within the form.

To troubleshoot I have disabled all plugins except for the calculator and Contact Form 7 (which is compatible with the cost calculator), and have also tried changing themes. When I use a different theme the calculator works properly on mobile. When i activate Themeco Pro (child theme), the dynamic behavior stops working on mobile.

The calculator is at: https://changeuptest.wpengine.com/pricing

Hello Drew,

Thanks for writing in! I do not have an iPhone at the moment. I am using iPhone emulator in MS Edge and Safari. The calculator seems to work on my end. Please check out the screenshots below.

Please clear your iPhone caches. You may need to use private browsing mode and test the calculator again.

Kindly let us know how it goes.

Thanks for responding @ruenel. Yes - the calculator does show up on mobile, but the conditional logic doesn’t work and the subtotal values are populating - the league discount select field should only show up when the number. of teams slider is set to 5 or more, and the program discount select field should only appear when there are between 3-4 teams. Also - when working properly, the subtotal values are populated (view it from a desktop)

None of this logic is working on mobile when the Themeco pro theme is applied , but it does work on desktop.

Subtotal values are the List pricing line item and the discount amount line item

Hey Drew,

We’re sorry for this conflict but the best we could do is to post this in our tracker so this case will be queued for investigation by our development team. They will be the ones to check if something can be changed in the theme. Please share a video showing the issue so and we’ll post it in our tracker.

Please note that we cannot guarantee compatibility with the calculator plugin so it would be best to test out other calculator plugins like our bundled plugin here https://theme.co/docs/estimation-payment-forms

Thanks.

Thanks @christian - everything is all set now. I had two instances of the same calculator - one for mobile & one for desktop - they were conflicting. Everything is working properly as this time.

Thanks for your help!

Hi Drew,

We’re glad that it is now working well on your end! If you have any other concerns or clarifications regarding our theme features, feel free to open up a new thread.

Thank you.
