Conflict with Cornerstone & SiteGround Optimizer

Hello,

I have a bunch of clients on SiteGround and when we activate the SiteGround Optimizer plugin, Cornerstone will not load.

This is an issue we’ve been tolerating for about 2 years now hoping it would just resolve itself in an update but that has not happened.

We disable all plugins except SiteGround Optimizer and the problem persists. Disable SiteGround Optimizer and the problem goes away.

SiteGround support is unwilling to further troubleshoot this issue with me and has been unable to resolve the issue.

Please use help fix this.

Micah

Hi Micah,

Thanks for reaching out.
The SiteGround Optimizer is a 3rd Party plugin and we don’t have any control over that plugin or over the plugin code, I would suggest you contact Plugin Author on this and let us know the feedback.

Thanks

SIteGround told me to contact you since Cornerstone is your plugin.

Micah

Hey Micah,

The siteground optimizer plugin is causing the issue to your website. Optimization plugins often combine scripts and reorder them and the common cause of issues as some scripts should not be combined, minified nor re-ordered. That is the case with our products so please contact Siteground or the developers of SG Optimizer to exclude everything from Pro from any kind of optimization. Don’t worry, our themes are optimized out of the box so they don’t need third-party optimization.

Or you can resolve the issue, in the SG optimizer plugin on the site head over to the front end optimization tab and toggle off Minify Javascript files. This minification is what is stopping the editor from loading.

Hope that helps.
