Conflict on the front end of your site has prevented the preview from loading

I have a site www.yellowdotnursery.co.uk where the main content of the site runs on ColdFusion (like PHP). Now they want to add a blog so I installed Wordpress in the root and that displays fine here…
http://www.yellowdotnursery.co.uk/blog/

So it’s OK except that the X preview says

“A conflict on the front end of your site has prevented the preview from loading”

Is there a way to fix that?

Hi there,

Kindly make sure that the Settings > General > Wordpress/Site Address setting is the same as http://www.yellowdotnursery.co.uk/blog/ .

That can be a cause judging your message, but if you encounter the problem again after making sure the setting is correct, that might be caused by several different reasons.

Cache plugins which minify the code, wrong configuration of services like CloudFlare or mod_security settings of the hosting service provider.

Please kindly get back to us with the URL/User/Pass of your website using the Secure Note functionality to check and try to determine which one is the cause.

Thank you.

Hi there,

I did try to check the case but unfortunately given User/Pass is not working are sure about the given user information?

Sorry - there was a problem with the username. Please try again.

Sorry for the confusion. You should not install WordPress in the root of your site since you have another application running in there. If you check your home page in the front-end, it’s not WordPress. There’s a conflict between applications.

In you current setup, some part in WordPress will work and some will not so it would be best to setup WordPress in a subdirectory.

Thanks.
