Conditional view based on custom field date

Is it possible to hide content using the row or column ‘Conditions’ based on the date from a custom field?
I am using a Toolset custom field (date type) with the start date in it and would like to hide content if today’s date is before this date.
I don’t see the option to restrict by custom field in X Pro’s page layout condition. There is a query condition but don’t know how to use it.
The shortcode to display the date is: [types field=“ad-start-date” style=“text” format=“j F Y”][/types]
Is this possible? Or would it require a special custom code?

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully what you need is not covered by the default conditions in the new element Condition features. It may require custom development that is beyond the scope of our support already. You may need to contact a 3rd party developer if you are not familiar with coding.
