Hi,
I was for a while using the great Comet Cache Pro and it was greatly speeding up my site. A few month back I had to stop due to it needing to be truned off to start Cornerstone.
I contacted Comet Cache support about this issue and they have kind of hit a brick wall trying to get things sorted.
I would very much like it if you could make a future version of Cornerstone be compatible with Comet Cache Pro, I am sure their developers would be happy to help this happen.

I tested Comet Cache in my test site and I couldn’t replicate the issue or encountered any issue at all like in the thread you linked to. Not sure if this could help, but if a caching plugin can exclude a URI pattern (contact the plugin developer for this or view the documentation), try adding this line to it /x/*. If that doesn’t work, there could be something in your site that causes conflict between Comet Cache and Cornerstone. Regretfully, we do not have support for third party plugin conflicts so you’ll need to hire a developer to investigate what it is in your site.
